At just 13 years old, I began my journey as a climate activist after witnessing the growing impact of climate change on my community—from failed harvests and water shortages to the uncertainty it created for families and young people. Driven by a desire to create change, I joined climate movements and dedicated myself to advocating for a more sustainable future.
Yet behind my activism, I was facing my own struggles with mental health. As I navigated depression and the emotional weight of confronting environmental and social injustices, I came to understand a powerful truth: people cannot build resilient communities if their well-being is overlooked.
My journey of healing revealed the deep connection between mental health, environmental sustainability, and social development. This realisation inspired me to found Be Well And Green Network (BWGN), a youth-led organisation that creates safe spaces for young people to heal, lead, and take action.
Through our work in environmental sustainability, mental health, gender equality, substance abuse prevention, and sustainable agriculture, we empower communities to address interconnected challenges with holistic, locally driven solutions. Today, we are building a movement that nurtures resilient individuals, strengthens communities, and creates a future where both people and the planet can thrive.
